An old .pptx, remade

Spokes

What was asked, with an old PowerPoint attached

Remake this deck: same facts and numbers, designed properly.

Another slide from Spokes. A later slide from Spokes.

This deck started as an old PowerPoint, remade by Cue with the same facts and numbers. Companies, people and numbers in the example briefs are made up, unless they’re public facts like history or science.

The look Cue chose

Paint shop

Flat fields of bike-frame colour (signal orange, racing green, cream, tarmac) with loud condensed poster type stamped on top

Type
Anton and Archivo
Colours
tarmaccreaminkdustsignalracingyolk
Motion
Snappy and mechanical, like a freewheel clicking: power3.out over 0.7s, display type rises out of a mask letter by letter, colour fields wipe in with rectangular clips. Facts arrive one per beat from below. Only one thing ever loops: a slow-turning wheel or a drifting field. Type never wobbles or scales.
Transitions
Hard wipes between colour fields (0.6s, direction follows the story forward to the right); a straight cut into dark statement slides; push for the funding ask. Never two identical transitions in a row.

Slide by slide

6 slides, with what the presenter says. Highlighted words are cues: saying them makes something on the slide move.

  1. 1

    Cover

    Opens with a fade

We are Spokes, and we make software for independent bike shops. We started in 2021 in Lisbon. Today we are 34 employees across three countries. And we have customers in eleven countries.

  2. 2

    The problem

    Enters with a push

One in five sales walks out the door because the part is not on the shelf. That is the real cost of running a shop the old way. Inventory lives in spreadsheets nobody trusts. Repairs are booked on paper. And the web store and the shop floor are not connected, so stock sells twice or not at all.

  3. 3

    One app

    Enters with a wipe

Spokes puts all of it in one app. Stock, repairs and the online shop finally talk to each other. You scan stock in three taps. The app suggests what to reorder before the shelf goes empty. And repair tickets are texted to customers, so nobody calls to ask.

  4. 4

    Growth

    Enters with a slide over

These are shops that pay us every month. Watch the paying shops climb year by year. Forty in 2022, then a hundred and ten, then two hundred and sixty. Last year we passed five hundred, with five hundred and forty shops on board.

  5. 5

    Results

    Enters with a dissolve

Shops on Spokes cut their stockouts by thirty five percent. Repair turnaround fell from six days to two. And they stay. Net revenue retention is one hundred and eighteen percent, and monthly churn is just one point four percent.

  6. 6

    The ask

    Enters with a zoom through

We are raising a three million euro Series A. In the second quarter we launch in Germany. We hire six engineers to build faster. And by the end of 2026, Spokes runs one thousand shops.
