Who is responsible
Cue Slides (“Cue”, “we”) decides how your personal data is used. We are two founders, Shelton and Mruthulan. Write to us at hello@cueslides.com for anything in this policy, including asking to see, fix, export or delete your data.
What we collect
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your email, name and how you sign in (an email link, or Google) | To make your account and let you in. |
| What you give Cue: prompts, documents, old decks, images, and the decks you make | To make, edit, show and export your decks. We treat uploaded documents as content, never as instructions. |
| Your voice, when you turn on voiceover or ask Cue to follow you while you present | To turn speech into text so the deck can move with you. We don’t keep recordings of your voice. |
| What you do in the app: pages opened, buttons used, steps in a deck build, errors, how fast things load | To keep Cue working, to find and fix problems, to count the cost of AI, and to improve the product. This is recorded in our own log, not by an advertising company. |
| Your plan, credits and payment status, plus the customer and order numbers Paddle gives us | To give you the right credits and plan. Your card details go to Paddle and never reach us. |
| Messages you send us | To reply, and to keep a record of what we agreed. |
On this website
cueslides.com doesn’t use cookies. To see how many people visit, we count page views on our own server. We store the page, the site that sent you, your country and city as reported by our host Cloudflare, your device type and a rough browser and system (for example “Chrome on Windows”). We don’t store your IP address. To count each visitor once a day, we turn your IP address, browser and the date into a short code that can’t be turned back into you, and that changes every day.
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and where you came from, so we can email you when Cue opens. We don’t share the list.
In the Cue app
The app uses a cookie that keeps you signed in. It is needed to run the service, so it doesn’t ask for consent. Some pages, such as the free first look at a remake, use a bot check from Cloudflare to keep out automated abuse.
Decks play in an isolated frame that cannot see your account, your cookies or anything else on the page.
AI and your content
Cue works by sending what you ask for, and the content you give it, to AI services. They return a deck, a picture or a voice. We choose services whose business terms do not allow them to train their models on what we send. We don’t let your content train anyone’s models, and we don’t train our own on your decks without asking you first.
Please don’t put in other people’s secrets or personal data that you don’t have the right to use.
Where your data goes
These companies work around the world, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live, including in the United States. Where the law requires a safeguard for that, such as standard contract clauses, we rely on the ones our providers offer.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Your account, decks and uploads | Until you delete them or your account. Then we remove them from live systems within 30 days. Backups clear within 35 days after that. |
| Usage log (what you do in the app) | Up to 13 months, then it is deleted or kept only as totals that don’t identify you. |
| Website page views | Up to 13 months. |
| Billing records | As long as tax and accounting law require, which can be up to seven years. Paddle keeps its own records. |
| Waitlist email | Until Cue opens and you’ve had your invite, or until you ask us to remove it. |
| Voice recordings | Not kept. |
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to show you your data, fix it, give you a copy, or delete it, and you can object to how we use it or ask us to limit it. Where the law gives you these rights, such as under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, or the CCPA in California, we will honour them. Most things you can do yourself in Cue; for the rest, email hello@cueslides.com. We reply within a month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Cue is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in Cue before it applies. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
