Terms of service

The rules, in plain words.

These terms are the agreement between you and Cue Slides when you use Cue. We have tried to write them so you can read them once and know where you stand.

Last updated 17 October 2026

Who we are

Cue is an AI presentation maker, run by Cue Slides (“Cue”, “we”, “us”), a company founded in 2026 by Shelton and Mruthulan. The service is at cueslides.com and, once it opens, app.cueslides.com. You can write to us at hello@cueslides.com.

By making an account or using Cue, you agree to these terms. If you use Cue for a company, you are agreeing for that company and you say you can.

Paddle, our merchant of record

Our order process is handled by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all our orders, which means Paddle sells Cue to you, takes your payment, works out and collects the tax, and appears on your receipt. Paddle also handles customer service for payments and returns, and its Checkout Buyer Terms apply to your purchase. You can reach Paddle’s buyer support at paddle.net.

Everything about how Cue itself works, what you make with it, and how we treat your data stays between you and us.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to a contract where you live. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to read these terms with you.
  • Give us a real email address and keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us quickly if someone else gets in.
  • One person, one account. Team plans let a team share credits, but each person signs in as themselves.

Your content

What you put into Cue (prompts, documents, old decks, images, your voice) and what you make with it (decks, links, exports) is yours. We don’t take ownership of any of it.

To run Cue for you, we need your permission to store, process and show your content, send it to the AI services described in our privacy policy, and build and play your decks. That permission is only for running Cue for you and ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not train our own models, or let anyone else train theirs, on your decks without asking you first.

You promise that you have the right to use what you upload, and that it doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights. If you ask Cue to use a voice, you promise that it’s your own or that its owner has said yes.

What the AI makes

Cue uses AI models to write and design decks. As between you and us, you can use the decks you make however you like, including for work. AI can get things wrong, so read what Cue makes before you present it, especially numbers, names and claims. Because the models can produce similar results for other people, we can’t promise any output is unique.

Using Cue properly

Don’t use Cue to:

  • break the law, or make or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploits children;
  • pretend to be someone else, or clone a voice without that person’s consent;
  • send malware, or try to break out of the sandbox that decks run in, reach other people’s data, or probe our systems without our written permission;
  • scrape Cue, resell access to it, or use it to build a competing AI product;
  • get around limits, for example by making many free accounts to collect free credits.

If you do, we may remove the content, pause the account, or close it. We will tell you why unless the law says we can’t.

Plans, credits and paying

The plans and prices are on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and tax is added at checkout where required. Paddle takes the payment.

  • Credits. Credits are how Cue measures the work it does for you. They have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and can’t be exchanged for money, except as our refund policy says. Monthly credits don’t carry over to the next month. Credits from a credit pack last 12 months.
  • Failed work. If a deck or export fails to build, we put the credits back automatically.
  • Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year, at the price you were shown, until you cancel. We send a reminder before each renewal.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Cue. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and we don’t charge you again.
  • Price changes. If we change a price, we tell you at least 30 days before it reaches you, and you can cancel before it does.
  • Student plan. It is for people with a school email address. We may ask you to confirm that you are a student, and may move you to another plan if you aren’t.
  • Free plan. The Free plan has no charge and may have lower limits and a Cue mark on exports. We may change what it includes, with notice.

Music, images and fonts

Cue may include music, sound effects, images and fonts. You can use them inside the decks and exports you make with Cue. You can’t take them out to sell or share on their own, or use them to train AI models. Some come from other providers and carry their own conditions, which we pass on in the app where they matter.

Early access

Cue is new. Some features, such as following your voice while you present, are in beta and may change, break or go away. We will try to give notice of big changes. We aim to keep Cue running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free.

Ending things

You can stop using Cue and delete your account at any time. We can end or pause your access if you break these terms, if we must by law, or if we stop offering Cue, in which case we will give you notice and a chance to download your decks and, if you paid for time you won’t get, a refund for the rest of it.

When an account closes, we delete its content as described in our privacy policy.

Limits on what we owe you

Cue is provided “as is”. We do our best, but we can’t give guarantees the law doesn’t force us to. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost data or indirect damage, and our total responsibility to you for anything connected with Cue is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem and US $100.

Nothing in these terms limits what the law says can’t be limited, such as responsibility for death or injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer where you live.

Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in Cue before it applies. Using Cue after that means you accept it.

If we can’t sort a problem out together, the courts of the country where Cue Slides is registered decide it, except that where your local consumer law lets you use your own courts, you can.

Questions about these terms: hello@cueslides.com.
