The look Cue chose

Signal orange

Night indigo and hot signal orange in big flat blocks, with tall poster type that reads like road signage

Colours

Motion
Snappy and graphic. Colour fields wipe in with a hard rectangular clip from one edge in 0.6s on a strong ease-out, then type rises from behind a mask, 70ms per word. Numbers count briskly. Nothing bounces; photos drift very slowly. Light, and only light, is allowed to glow.
Transitions
Mostly wipe (0.6s) in the direction the story moves, so each new field of colour slides over the last. Push for moving along a timeline, a hard cut into the shipping-date slide, fade only into and out of photos.

Slide by slide

9 slides, with what the presenter says. Highlighted words are cues: saying them makes something on the slide move.

  1. 1

    Cover

    Opens with a fade

Hi everyone, and thank you for being here live. This is Halo, the light you backed. It gets brighter when a car comes up behind you. Tonight we'll show you how it works, what you'll get, and when it ships.

  2. 2

    Behind you

    Enters with a dissolve

On a ride, you look ahead. That's where the road is. But the danger is often the car coming up behind you, the one you can't see. So we built Halo for that spot. It makes sure the driver sees you.

  3. 3

    How it works

    Enters with a wipe

Here's how Halo works. When a car is far away, the light stays soft. As the car gets closer, Halo gets brighter. When the car is close, Halo shines at full brightness. You don't press anything. It just does it.

  4. 4

    Battery life

    Enters with a push

You asked us about battery life. Here's the answer. One charge gives you forty hours of riding. Each little cell is one hour. That's a lot of rides between charges.

  5. 5

    Three colours

    Enters with a slide over

Halo comes in three colours. Here's the first one. Here's the second. And here's the third. You'll pick the one you want.

  6. 6

    The price

    Enters with a zoom through

Now the price. Halo costs eighty nine dollars. That's the same price you backed. Nothing about that has changed.

  7. 7

    Ships in March

    Enters with a split

Here's where we are. You backed Halo, and tonight we launch. The next stop is march. We're on track, and that's when Halo ships to you.

  8. 8

    What you get

    Enters with a slide over

So let's go over your order. You get one Halo bike light, in the colour you pick. It runs 40 hours on a charge. It costs 89 dollars, and it ships in March.

  9. 9

    Thank you

    Enters with a fade

Thank you for backing Halo. You made this real. We'll send you updates here on Kickstarter until it ships. See you in March.
